Nike has spent years investing in research that examines the rapid decline of physical activity in modern societies and its damaging effects, especially for this generation. The truth is, physical inactivity could shed 5 years off their lives. Nike wanted to communicate that, although we have a pressing issue on our hands, there are simple ways to solve it.
In late 2012, an academic report titled Designed to Move: A Physical Activity Action Agenda was released by Nike and several other expert organizations. Nike looked to us to transform the data and engage users as they uncover the issue and the solutions that reveal a tremendous opportunity for change.
Our task was to take this 142-page report and present the information in a way that would illustrate the urgency for action from users and get them to to download the full report, share it with others socially, or to be inspired to make a bigger difference.
"Designed To Move" made its debut on September 23, 2012 and the topic has spread across media entities such as Forbes and Fast Company. In addition, designedtomove.org has been recognized on siteInspire for its responsive design, typographic and infographic elements
