This Samsung Galaxy Nexus device unveiled a wealth of new features, such as Face Unlock, 4G LTE and Android Beam, so we crafted a site that both showed off these stand-out features and encouraged a large-scale wave in pre-release online registration. To generate buzz about the upcoming device release, we created a parallax-based HTML5 system that presented an intuitive interface with a seamless browsing experience between images of the device and content detailing the amazing features.
To time with the phone's release, we crafted a second site to delve deeper into key Nexus features such as multi-tasking, Panorama Mode, and the revamped HD display. The site incorporated an interactive, 3D WebGL phone modeler that provides detailed 360-degree views of the phone. As well, we integrated product videos to highlight further elements of the new Android 4.0 device.
To expand the site's reach, we designed it to work well in all browsers, with consideration for phones and tablets. The result was almost 50,000 shares on Google+ in the US alone - a 500% increase in shares over the previous Nexus site.
